When are the Women’s Euros in 2025?

Mark your calendars! The tournament kicks off on 2 July 2025 and runs until the final on 27 July 2025. That’s nearly a full month of top-class international football – perfect for a summer of sporting excitement. I’ve already started counting down the days!

Where are the Women’s Euros being held?

This time, the honour of hosting the tournament goes to Switzerland. It’s the first time the country has hosted the Women’s Euros, and with its stunning scenery and top-notch stadiums, it should make for an incredible setting. If you’re lucky enough to be heading there, it’s bound to be a fantastic experience!

Which teams have qualified for the Women’s Euros 2025?

We’ve got 16 teams ready to battle it out for European glory. Here’s how they line up:

GroupTeams
ASwitzerland (hosts), Norway, Iceland, Finland
BSpain, Portugal, Belgium, Italy
CGermany, Poland, Denmark, Sweden
DFrance, England, Netherlands, Wales

Plenty of big names in the mix – and some intriguing underdogs who could cause a stir! I can’t wait to see how the groups unfold.

Which stadiums and cities are hosting games?

Matches will be played across eight cities in Switzerland, giving fans a chance to explore different regions while following the action. The host stadiums are:

  • St. Jakob-Park, Basel

  • Stadion Wankdorf, Bern

  • Stade de Genève, Geneva

  • Stadion Letzigrund, Zurich

  • Arena St. Gallen, St. Gallen

  • Allmend Stadion Luzern, Lucerne

  • Arena Thun, Thun

  • Stade de Tourbillon, Sion

If you’re heading to Switzerland, it’s a great chance to visit some beautiful cities while soaking up the tournament atmosphere.

Who is the favourite to win it?

This is a tough one to call, but a few teams definitely stand out:

  • England – As reigning champions, the Lionesses will be hungry to defend their title.

  • Spain – Fresh off their World Cup win, they’ll be one of the most dangerous teams in the tournament.

  • Germany – With a history of dominance in women’s football, they’ll always be contenders.

  • France & Netherlands – Both teams have huge talent and will be looking to go all the way.

Personally, I think England and Spain are the teams to beat, but anything can happen in tournament football!

How do you get tickets for the Women’s Euros?

If you’re keen to experience the tournament live, tickets are available through UEFA’s official website. Prices start from around €150, depending on the match and seating choice. Given the excitement around this event, we’d recommend getting in early before they sell out! I know I’ll be refreshing the page the moment they go on sale.

Who are the players to watch this year?

A few superstars we’ll all be keeping an eye on:

  • Alexia Putellas (Spain) – Two-time Ballon d’Or winner and an absolute midfield maestro.

  • Vivianne Miedema (Netherlands) – A clinical striker who can turn a game in an instant.

  • Lauren Hemp (England) – One of the most exciting young wingers in the game.

  • Delphine Cascarino (France) – A speedy forward with a real eye for goal.

There’s so much talent on display – I can’t wait to see who lights up the tournament!
