It’s getting pretty difficult to keep up with all the women’s football records being set! And on the opening weekend of the WSL 2023/24 campaign, we saw yet another astronomical record setting attendance.

Arsenal hosted Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium and fans certainly made the most of the much higher capacity ground than Arsenal play most of their WSL games at.

Once again, another WSL record attendance was set at the Emirates with a whopping 54,115 turning up to watch.

Sadly for the home crowd, it was a surprise 1-0 win for visitors, Liverpool. But regardless of whose colours you’re wearing, there’s no doubt that these phenomenal attendance figures are amazing news for the women’s game.
